About Our Veterinarians

Dr. Susan Lewis
Dr. Lewis, an Ann Arbor native, graduated from Michigan State University in 1978. She started her career in Washington State in a large and small animal practice, then spent a year in St. Thomas US VI, and eight years in Maryland before returning to Michigan in 1988.
Dr Lewis has always had a passion for client education (both her parents are educators) and exotic medicine. In 1998 she combined these passions and founded All Creatures Animal Clinic. Dr Lewis has 2 sons, Jason a business student at Indiana University, and Chris who founded Steel Jaw Kennels and breeds Dogo Canarios west of Ann Arbor. She enjoys travel, outdoor activities, sailing,jogging, and reading.
Dr. Lyssa Alexander
Dr. Alexander is an Ann Arbor native and recent graduate from Michigan State University. Her main interests are internal medicine, ophthalmology and exotic animal medicine.
She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband Julius, dog, 2 cats, rabbit , turtle and goldfish. She enjoys board games, martial arts, walking down town for ice cream and hanging out with her family.
Office Manager
Brandi
Brandi is an Ann Arbor native and a University of Michigan graduate with a background in Anthropology and Office Administration and work experience in medical offices for both people and animals. Brandi was originally a client here at All Creatures and her belief in the doctors, staff and mission statement of the business led her to join the team. Her favorite part of the job is sharing stories and laughs with people about their furry companions. Brandi also enjoys reading, crafting and most of all spending time with her beautiful angel-beagle, Chi-Chi Lu.
Technician Team
Natalie- Licensed Veterinary Technician
Natalie is a Wayne State graduate from the Vet Tech program in 2006. She has a background in Emergency medicine and specialty medicine. Her passion is for surgery and anesthesia. In her spare time Natalie spends time taking care of her daughter Lilly and her rat terrier Daisy. She is excited to learn about exotic pets, and she plans to pursue her VTS in anesthesia and specialty in behavioral/rehabilitation.
Samantha - Licensed Veterinary Technician
Samantha is a graduate of Baker college in Jackson. Samantha's favorite part of her job is getting to know all the clients and their pets, and doing laboratory work. When not at All Creatures Clinic Samantha enjoys spending time with her own animals; a french bulldog,a chihuahua and her orange tabby cat. She also enjoys movies and scrap booking.
Sondra- Licensed Veterinary Technician
Sondra is a graduate from Stautzenberger College. She has been an animal lover all of her life and currently shares her home with a variety of critters, including two boxers, her cats, her two rats and her bearded dragon. Sondra loves everything about her career, but really enjoys talking with clients about their pets. In her spare time, Sondra enjoys bowling, ceramics and spending time with her family.
Steven- Technician Assistant and Obedience Trainer
Steven has been a veterinary technician for over 7 years with extensive experience in exotics, reptiles, avian and small animals. He is very passionate about client education and has been a trainer and handler of dogs for over 12 years. In his spare time, Steve competes in all canine sports activities with his 3 border collies, a mini Australian shepherd and his new Dachsund named Jellybean. Steve is also active in various charities with his dogs, 2 of which are certified as therapy dogs. If you ever need advise on nutrition, wellness, dental care or weight management, Steve is happy to help.
Erin- Assistant
Erin is a new resident to the Ann Arbor area and she is very excited to be joining the All Creatures staff. She has been working with animals, mostly cats and dogs, for over nine years and she looks forward to learning more about exotics. She has a passion for pitbulls and one day plans to join a pitbull rescue program. She spends her free time playing with her two orange cats, watching movies and reading.
Receptionist
Alicia
Alicia has been with All Creatures for awhile now and has worked previously as a groomer and an assistant before becoming our full time receptionist. Alicia volunteers as much as possible for the HVHS and has volunteered with the Buster Foundation, a pit bull rescue and education group. She enjoys cooking, reading and traveling. She has a pitbull named Lola, hermit crabs and a beta fish. In April of 2011 Alicia will become a new mom to a human baby!
Groomer
Kris
Kris has many years of experience as a groomer as well as a veterinary technician and a breeder. Kris is skilled in grooming not only dogs, but cats and rabbits as well.
